Mark Collins

Energy Solutions Specialist

As clients and team members will tell you there's only one Mark Collins. After a long career in sales and customer service that carried him from Waverly to Iowa Falls and Des Moines, Mark joined the MaxYield team in 2008 as an Energy Solutions Specialist. Today he serves MaxYield's central and east areas.

When it comes to his career, Mark loves helping clients find solutions that fit their farm or business to ensure success, simplicity, and profitability. His ability to be autonomous in his work while also leaning on his teammates, and the team culture at MaxYield in general, are some of his favorite parts of working for the cooperative.

Outside of work you can find Mark turkey hunting or fishing both near and far. He's also a new face on the camping scene and looks forward to spending time with his newest (potential) hobby. He grew up with 14 siblings so family is important to him, meeting with a handful of his brothers every Saturday morning for breakfast and a game of five-handed cribbage. His ability to play the game is a point of pride and he enjoys the time spent doing so!

Sara Sparks

Client Care Leader/Energy Central Team

Even though Sara has been a member of MaxYield's prestigious All-Star Team, her planned career path was about as far from agriculture as you can get. She attended Rochester Community & Technical College after high school with a plan to someday operate a bridal shop. After graduating in 2004 with her degree in interior design and retail merchandising and working briefly at a Spencer furniture store she pursued a career in agriculture.

Today, she handles everything from running the scale and cutting grain checks to dispatching fuel orders and tracking inventory. She enjoys the variety of work and finds joy in getting to know clients, especially the Spencer location's coffee crowd.

A self-proclaimed soccer mom, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband Curt and their two daughters, Lillian and Elleanor. She also enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes!
