Feed Division Offers Non-traditional Solutions
Since we serve a wide range of traditional and non-traditional clients, MaxYield Cooperative’s feed business ranges from the most rudimentary system to a modern feed mill.
We operate an ultra-modern, computerized feed mill at our Britt location. This one-person operation includes two shifts that process more than 400 tons of high quality feed a day for Sparboe Farms’ poultry layers. In addition, MaxYield is a part owner of New Horizons, a partnership with Sparboe that supplies eggs to fast food chains, grocery stores, and other outlets.
In contrast, our expeller mill in West Bend is used to manufacture a soybean-based fish cake/bait that’s sold to commercial fishermen in the mid-South. No chemicals are used in the extraction process, since heat and pressure separate the soybean oil from the meal.
Since 1937 the bait has been sold in hand-packed, 60-pound burlap bags. In addition, the soybean meal and oil produced in the process are kosher and are sold into the kosher food chain.
For generations, livestock producers in Hancock County have depended on MaxYield's Garner feed mill. From 4-H and FFA projects, to large livestock operations, this well-kept mill can handle all of your feed ration needs. Our Garner mill offers grind, mix and delivery plus bagging and local pick up for any species feed.
From the traditional to the non-traditional, MaxYield continues to look for new opportunities for its feed division.
